As Rayasia sat alone, she reflected. She thought about how she'd received the shocking news about the apartment fire. She had been caught in thoughts of her troublesome life when she got the news about the fire. She was interrupted from her thinking when that had happened.

“Are you Rayasia Russell?” Rayasia remembered.

“Yes.” Rayasia recalled bouncing from a chair where she sat in the hospital restaurant alone. She was anxious. She thought something bad had happened to Rayvon. She spilled the cup of coffee she'd sipped. It covered her clothes.

“Please come with me. We have some disturbing news for you.”

“What? What's going on? What's happened to Rayvon?”

“Calm down. It's nothing involving your son this time?”

“Then what? What is it?”

“There has been a small fire.”

“Small fire?”

“Yes.”

“What does that have to do with me?”

“It's at your apartment.”

“My apartment?”

“Your apartment was damaged. No one was hurt. But everything in your apartment has been ruined.”

“Everything?”

“Afraid so. You will have to find somewhere to stay. The apartment is uninhabitable. Sorry to have to bring this news to you especially with everything else you said is going on in your life. Try not to let it worry you.”

“But what am I going to do?”

A slight knock against the hospital door brought Rayasia's thoughts back to the present moment.
